IMG Worldwide's First-Ever Transgender Model: Hari Nef
Meet the first-ever transgender model to sign a contract with the biggest modeling agency in the world: IMG Models.
Born to Jewish parents in Philadelphia, she moved to Newton, Massachusetts with her mother and step-father where she lived a pretty normal life. In high school, she was really interested in the ‘emo’ movement, wore her hair different colours, let them grow and she would even start rumours about herself to make people bully her. She was obsessed with fashion when she was younger.
She was later called by the producer of the hit television show Transparent, a comedy drama about a father who tells his children he is transgender, and was offered on a spot on the show. She appeared on Season 2 and now has other film projects in the works.
